What is AEO?
Answer Engine Optimization. Structuring content so AI search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews quote you. FAQ schema, clear Q&A, definitions, lists, citation hooks.
What is GEO?
Generative Engine Optimization. Making your site readable as an entity by LLMs. Named entities, Organization schema, factual claims, sameAs links to Wikidata/Wikipedia, third-person voice.
FAQ
Is this checker really free?
Yes — fully free, no signup, no credit card. We built it as a lead-gen tool for our AI study planner.
How is the score calculated?
Each of the three categories is scored 0–100 based on 8–10 checks (title, headings, schema, entities, etc). The overall is the average. The full breakdown is shown on the report.
What's the difference between AEO and GEO?
AEO focuses on answer-style content (FAQ, Q&A, lists). GEO focuses on entity recognition (named brands, schema-backed identities, factual claims). Both target AI engines but optimize different signals.
Why does my site need AEO?
By 2026 Gartner estimates AI engines will handle ~25% of all search queries. Pages without AEO won't get cited — and citation is the only way to drive traffic from AI search.
